Salary

from 3 200 EUR/month

This is a legal monthly minimum required to be stated by the Slovak law. Offered salary varies based on relevant experience and skills. Plus: Annual Salary Bonus based on individual & company performance.

Your role

We are looking for a bright, experienced, and motivated Site Reliability Engineer who has a strong software development background to join our technology team. We’ve got game changing opportunities ahead of us, so if you’re looking for a challenge, read on. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will primarily report to your Technical Lead. 

You will

  • Develop and provide operational support for full-stack software applications 
  • Collaborate with development operations staff to create, monitor, and troubleshoot the system infrastructure 
  • Increase system resilience and serve larger customer volumes with expert-level coding, bulletproof release, and change management skills 
  • Conduct gamedays and disaster recovery scenarios to identify risks to the systems 
  • Improve automation and increase the system’s self-healing capability 
  • Collect operating system data and report performance metrics to stakeholders 
  • Manage cloud and database system maintenance, debugging production issues as they arise

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar field is preferred  
  • 5 years’ experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role 
  • Experience with open-source technologies, automated configuration, DevOps, or cloud automation development 
  • Relevant industry certifications, such as the Site Reliability Engineering Foundation certification, are highly welcomed 
  • Strong development background with coding experience in Java, Kotlin or Golang preferred 
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools 
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) 
  • Version Control: BitBucket
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, and security best practices 
  • Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) 
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestrations (e.g., Kubernetes/Docker) 
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Splunk, New Relic 
  • ALM tools like JIRA, Confluence  
  • Self-Starter with attention to detail, able to prioritize to get things done  
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills 
  • Good written and verbal communications skills in English (B2+)

Junior Medior Senior Lead

Junior

With a basic knowledge of Linux, MySQL, Jenkins, SSH you are capable of solving challenges independently supervised by your more experienced colleagues.

Medior

You are a self-motivated software engineer with in-depth knowledge of Linux, AWS, containers and systems management. You are responsible for automating and monitoring our production infrastructure and as our first line of support for software development needs. You take part in on-call and support rotations as well as working with other SRE's on automation projects.

Senior

You are an expert software engineer with a deep knowledge of running and operating applications in a Linux environment responsible for automating, monitoring, and debugging our production infrastructure. You chart the evolution of our infrastructure and automation over time.

Lead

You are responsible for the technical vision and oversight of the shared stack team. You will routinely work with GoHealth's Development Teams and Architecture Group ensuring that the infrastructure is stable and reliable. Your primary goal is the stability and reliability of the infrastructure and the long-term success of the projects that depend on it. You are ensuring that all reliability issues and problems are properly addressed. You are responsible for the evolution of production infrastructure and also that proper disaster recovery practices are in place.

Step 1:

Step 2:
Phone Screen

A brief call with our HR team to assess your suitability for the company and the applied role.

Step 3:
Home assignment

Some roles require a home assignment, if that is the case for the role you are applying for, you will be either notified during the phone screen or sent all the necessary information via mail.

Step 4:
Interview

HR Interview (HR interview to assess role expectations and cultural fit.) Technical Interview (Interview with our Senior Engineers or Tech Leads discussing your participation in previous projects, experience with technologies). Might include live coding session where necessary.

Step 5:
Executive Interview

The last part of the interview process is a discussion with one of our Vice Presidents.

Duration and necessity of individual rounds may vary depending on the type and requirements of the position.
