At GoHealth we sell health insurance for a wide array of providers. We need a wide array of quality assurance measures. As Lead QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in developing the QA Automation practice to ensure the highest level of quality in all of our applications for the best possible customer experience. From collaborating with QA analysts, software engineers, and product managers on testing strategies and test plan design, to writing automated tests using Kotlin and Gauge, to improving the automation framework for maximum efficiency of test implementation, you will be involved in every aspect of Quality Assurance Automation. You will be a mentor in developing and leading a growing team in Chicago and Slovakia.

Salary

starting at 3 500 EUR/month

Offered salary varies based on relevant experience and skills. Plus: Annual Salary Bonus based on individual & company performance.

Your role

You will

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Software Engineers to ensure delivery of the highest quality end product
  • Lead our team of QA Automation Engineers in test implementation, code reviews, and mentoring
  • Aid in test strategy and test plan design to ensure efficiency and consistency of automated tests
  • Seek out improvements in the test automation process to improve delivery of test implementation
  • Write performant, maintainable, reliable, idiomatic Kotlin code to implement requirements in the Gauge automation framework
  • Proactively engage in career development with continuous learning

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field is preferred
  • 7+ years of software development experience, 3+ years QA Automation experience
  • Experience leading a team of engineers
  • Hands on experience with Java and/or Kotlin
  • Experience with testing – designing and implementing
  • Manual QA experience a plus
  • Knowledge of common libraries and frameworks (helpful): Spring, Selenium, Gauge, Cucumber
  • Experience with Linux or MacOS, Open Source tools, frameworks, and technologies
  • Experience working with databases and application servers
  • Experience with Jenkins or CI/CD tools (helpful)
  • Creative and strategic thinker who is eager to dive in to challenging and interesting projects and demonstrate their passion for achieving high quality results
  • Written and spoken communication skills in English; (B2 category)
